WinSum Junior Tennis League
The WinSum Junior Tennis League is a box league which runs from September through to July and affords junior players aged 11-18 the opportunity to play competitive matches locally in order to variously improve their game, their LTA rating and gain confidence in a match situation. It is the ideal starting point for beginners and the perfect arena for players unable to travel around the country competing in LTA events. Five sessions will be scheduled to coincide with the LTA Ratings Runs. (There is also a Mini Green League for girls and boys born in 2001.)
There are separate leagues for boys and girls. Five sessions of the league are scheduled during the season each allowing 9 weeks in which to play three or four matches, played on a home and away basis. Depending on the results after each session players will be promoted or relegated. You may join at the start of any session.
At the end of the season prizes are awarded to the best in each age group and a trophy awarded to the player who reaches the top of the top box. As an added incentive there is a £50 prize for the player who plays and wins all his/her allocated matches.
The entry fee is £12 per season, or £3 per session entered. Please read the Rules for further explanatory information.

Alongside this singles league is a doubles tournament. Entrants are placed in a box of up to seven pairs (boys or girls, not mixed) and matches arranged to suit participants' convenience during the period October – July. This tournament is especially useful for doubles practise for county team players and as preparation for the summer tournaments. Again prizes are awarded to the best pair in each box at the end of the season. The fee for this event is £10 per pair. Additionally, a new WinSum League Cup is going to be presented at the Norfolk Closed Championships for the best WinSum League player performance in the tournament.
